I am currently a Secondary 2 Scout from St Gabriel's Southern Cross Scout Unit. I decided to start this blog to post about my scouting journey and will hopefully attain the Chief Commissioner's Award.

National symbols

Coat of Arms At the center of the emblem is a red shield bearing a white crescent representing a rising young nation and five white stars which represents various national ideals including multiculturalism, supported by a lion and a tiger representing Singapore and Malaysia respectively. Below them is a blue ribbon inscribed with Majulah Singapura in gold, Malay for "Onward Singapore". While the use of the coat of arms is restricted to the government, the symbol enjoys wide use on the national currency and state decorations, and appears on the cover of the national passports. Singapore Flag The National Flag consists of two equal horizontal sections, red above white. A white crescent moon occupies the upper left red section. Learning a new sport

  I learnt to play Ultimate Frisbee also known as Ultimate as it is a unique sport and I was quite intrigued on how fun it looked. There are many rules in Ultimate. A point is scored when one team catches the disc in the opposing team's end zone. Each point begins with both teams lining up on the front of their respective end zone line. Standing beyond the end zone line before the disc is thrown by the defense (a "pull") to the offense is known as an "offsides" violation. Each point begins with the two teams starting in opposite end zones. The team who scored the previous point are now on defense. The teams indicate their readiness by raising a hand, and the team on defense will throw the disc to the other team. This throw is called a "pull". When the pull is released, all players are free to leave their end zones and occupy any area on the field. Both teams should not leave the end-zone before the pull is released.
